We remember, not long ago, in our home of Ghoum, the days when there were no rug shops. Rugs were a hobby of individual families. They were made during the cold winter evenings as an extra source of income or a family’s own personal use and enjoyment. Each family took pride in weaving their rugs. Countless stories are told of the many happy times families would have sitting together by the fire weaving rugs.

There were no rug shops. Business was conducted in a coffee shop. Production of carpets was so limited that rug merchants would wait around the coffee shop and compete with other rug merchants to buy it. Countries like Germany and Great Britain were the biggest importers.
Today, almost every country is interested in the beauty and durability of these rugs. We are proud to have played a part in introducing these beautiful works of art to the world. True to tradition, we still insist on high quality, rich designs, and bold colors. We are also proud to be a part of the weaving process. Please look for the “Adabi” signature woven into your rug. This will assure you of the finest and highest quality of merchandise. The Adabi signature rugs are sold throughout Europe. In our stores you will find some Adabi signature rugs as well as many beautiful carpets imported from around the world.
